Reflection about using 5 Technology Lessons:
My 5 technology lessons ended up being more of a success than I thought they would be initially. In my 8th grade classes, I used Prezi for my presentations this year instead of Powerpoint. I really enjoyed using the information in this format. Prezi was something new for the students, thus it caught their attention. The Glogster artist poster was interesting element for an art classroom because it allowed student that were not always the best artist to still be creative when creating their Glogster. One change that I would make to the Glogster project would be to chunk the project more. I tried to give the students most of the information at the beginning of the lesson and let them use Glogster but they had too many question that they were not able to work through so that took a lot of our time in the lesson. Throughout this year for most of my lessons, I have used my document camera for many different lessons. It has proved to be a great tool for an art lesson. Another one of my lessons was a brainstorming activity for the students ceiling tile project using ExploraTree. ExploraTree worked great because the student were able to send their ideas back to me and I could add comments and then the students could view the comments. I would use ExploraTree again. Finally, I did a lesson using Google Art Project and Google Forms to create a scavenger hunt activity. The scavenger hunt activity was a great one day activity with the computers. The students were very interested in the Google Art Project and the artwork that they could view. I loved getting to share this artwork with my students, especially, because many of them will never be able to visit these museums in real life. Overall, I definitely enjoyed using these tools in my classroom and will definitely use them again.
